No, all you need is an appointment.

In the event that I see a doctor in your private clinic, who then recommends hospital care, would I also have to pay for the surgery and the hospital care or could they be state (OEP) financed?
If you have a TAJ card and you choose OEP financing (in which case, you would not receive the private patient care) then you would, of course, not have to pay - your hospital costs would be covered by OEP.

How fast will the laboratory test results be available?
Availability depends on the type of examination - a routine test may be received the same day, if requested, but, otherwise the following day. For special tests, the laboratory will give more specific information.

Does Doctor Imre Csernus also hold office hours elsewhere?
No, the doctor sees patients only at the Buda Health Center.

If I should want a blood test, even though I don’t have any complaints, what test should I have done? What would it include?
We would recommend the blood test we call "nagyrutín vizsgálat" which includes: CBC, sedimentation rate, complete urinalysis and the most significant blood components (ions, iron, liver and kidney function parameters, blood fats, blood sugar).

On what basis does Dr. Imre Csernus decide what he should charge a patient?
He charges according to the rules set up by his profession.

Is it possible for me to obtain a prescription without a doctor visit?
If you have been to see us and are under the care of one of our physicians, the doctor can write you the prescription.   You may pick it up the following day after paying a nominal fee.

I would like to make an appointment.   Why do I have to wait so long?
The only time we can see a patient immediately is when it is determined by a physician that the patient must be seen immediately and that we are able to treat the patient. Otherwise, we can only give out our regular appointments.

My screening examination was 3 weeks ago and I still have not received my results. What is taking so long?
The physicians are only able to complete their final reports once the diagnostic examination results (i.e., laboratory tests, PAP test, mammography) are in, and these, sometimes, can take a few days.   When they have come in, the doctor immediately finalizes and validates the reports.   Then, all the documents are gathered together with life style recommendations and informational material relating to the Patient’s condition, the complete documentation checked once more, copies made and then mailed.
The validation process is time consuming but an important part of our patient care service and good protection for our patients.
Our materials inform all our patients that the results should not be expected before 3-4 weeks.
