Physiotherapy

Well-trained physiotherapists and masseurs work in 6 physiotherapy and 2 massage rooms (English, German and Spanish is spoken by some) providing high-level of musculoskeletal care.
Our main profile is physiotherapy related to spine treatment, however, we also cover other musculoskeletal complaints as well as other physiotherapies (i.e., intimate exercise, pregnancy exercise), massage and prevention.

Methods

  • McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy,
  • Active stabilization (redevelop the stabilizing muscles, develop active muscle corset)

Areas Covered

Treatments related to surgery (spine, joint prostheses, corrective surgery):

  • Preoperative preparation
  • Rehabilitation following surgery

Conservative Treatment

  • Problems of the lower back, the back and the neck are treated:
  • disc degeneration (attrition, protrusion, hernia)
  • instability.
  • deformities,
  • incorrect posture,
  • the aging spine.

Prevention is an important and challenging part of our work. The spine requires special care and attention even following successful surgery, since the altered structures now put increased pressure on the remainder of the spinal segments. Studies have shown that 80%-90% of the population will experience back pain at least once in their lifetime. The pain will either disappear spontaneously or require treatment, but, in either case, leaving the possibility of its recurrence open. Thus, it is important that we think ahead, even when there are no symptoms.

We offer the possibility of learning important elements and techniques of prevention

  • ergonomics in everyday living,
  • posture correction,
  • muscle strength and endurance.

Our physiotherapists are trained to guide our patients from their current condition even as far as taking part in active sports.
