CT

The computer tomography is a process making cross-section images using ionized radiation and x-rays together with computer technology.

Every body part may be examined, but while the conventional x-rays mainly take pictures of bones, the CT scans the abdominal organs, the substance of the brain and other soft tissues.  Contrast material injected into the veins helps in picturing the veins, show the circulations in various organs and any changes in blood supply.

2D and 3D post-processing is of great help in determining the trauma clinical picture.  3D examinations are also helpful in planning plastic surgery.

The CT examination is not advised for older patients.  Weight limit is set at 287 lbs by the manufacturer.

We use the Hitachi Presto 4 slice multislice CT - one of the newest CT equipment in Hungary.

MRI

We use the Hitachi Aperto 0.4 Tesla open MRI scanner for our examinations.

The basis of the MRI is not ionized x-ray radiation.  The system uses a magnetic field and the organism’s protons, thus, the examination is not harmful to the body.

The 3D primary scans and the anatomically precise pictures of the tissues, provide significant information on a wide range of changes.

The open system is helpful to claustrophobia sufferers and for pediatricians.  Weight limit: 287 lbs.

ULTRASOUND

Our ultrasound equipment is the GE Voluson 730, the most modern equipment to date.
