The National Center for Spinal Disorders is the only institution in Hungary where quasi the entire diagnostic and treatment spectrum of the spine is performed.
The Center was part of the Department of Spinal Surgery and Rehabilitation of the Orthopedic Clinic of the Semmelweis University of Medicine until 1995 when it was integrated into the Medical Centre, Hungarian Defense Forces, until 2005 when it became independent. It is currently operated by the Buda Health Center, Kft. under the direction of Peter Paul Varga, MD, the original founder.
The medical staff includes general, orthopedic, trauma and vascular surgeons, rheumatologists, anesthesiology and intensive care specialists, radiologists, psychologists and such other specialties as urologists, gynecologists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, etc. who specialize in the comprehensive examination and care of the Patients suffering from disorders of the spine.
The Center is known and recognized internationally for its complex thinking regarding spinal disorder treatments and their innovations in spinal care treatment methods became universally accepted.
