Dear Parents and Children!

Health is of utmost importance to all of us. Our physical as well as our psychological well-being is determined by it.   With good health, our possibilities are unlimited. We are able to give our families all the psychological and material security they need. Nothing is more important to us than the health and well-being of our children.

Prevention is key to the preservation of good health, to keep a disease from presenting itself. To this end, we recommend health screening examinations for the whole family, adults as well as children. Our adult sceening examinations have become a part of us, and now, we are happy to be able to offer screening examinations for children, as well and may be requested by the parents. The examinations will be personalized to fit the child’s needs, age and sex, are not be painful or harmful and contain ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, soft tissues and the skull.

Ultrasound examinations of the skull can only be performed while the fontanelles (soft spots) are still open creating a veritable “window" to allow the waves to pass through. These examinations are of great importance in ruling out water on the brain and possible complications. Ultrasound examinations of the hips check for hip displacement and weakness which, if diagnosed positively, could require timely treatment and, if left untreated, could seriously affect a child’s later quality of life.

Ultrasound examination of the abdomen may be very important in every stage of a child’s life since it shows the location, shape and structure of organs enabling for early detection of anomalies, variations and abnormalities prior to the onset of possible problems. As an example - the dilatation of the kidney cavity, which may disappear after birth or continue to expand, may be observed in the womb, even. If, when compared to previous results, an examination shows changes, treatment may be begun in time before the organ could suffer damage.

Unfortunately, benign or malignant tumors may develop in children, as well. There are growths that grow incipiently to be detected only when they have developed into tumors. Thus, we strongly recommend abdominal ultrasound examinations at critical stages of a child’s development.

It is also possible to determine a child’s maturity by checking the bones with ultrasound. The thyroid, iodine level, salivary glands, as well as the adrenals may also be checked with ultrasound to ensure proper growth and development as can the ovaries, breasts and testicles to check for proper sexual development.

Aside from the screening and ultrasound examinations, we are also now available for diagnostic x-rays for children.
